AMHERST, N.S. – Will Lafford and Matt Green scored one goal and one assist each to lead the Amherst Ramblers to a 4-2 win over the St. Stephen Aces Saturday night at Amherst Stadium.

Colton McKenna and added a goal late in the second period, and Casey Fox added an empty-netter with 58 seconds left in the game giving the Ramblers the insurance goal.

Goaltending

Joel Goguen played in net for the Ramblers, stopping 26 of the 28 shots he faced, while his teammates had 41 shots on Aces goaltender Joey May.

Power Play

The Ramblers were 1 for 5 on the power play, and the Aces 2 for 5.

Attendance

Game attendance was 675.

Standings

With the win, the Ramblers are in second place in the Eastlink South Division with 12 points, six wins and one loss. They are three points behind the Division leading Yarmouth Mariners and four points ahead of the Truro Bearcats.

Upcoming Games

The Ramblers are in Miramichi on Tuesday, in South Shore on Friday, and return home Saturday at 7 p.m. to host the Valley Wildcats.
