BROOKFIELD, N.S. – The Amherst Regional High School Viking girls soccer team are the 2018-2019 Northumberland Region Division 2 Girls Champions.

The Vikings won the title after winning both games of their two-game, total-goal, regional playoff tournament against the South Shore Academy Wolves.

The girls clinched the title with a 2-1 win over SCA on Thursday, Oct. 18, in Brookfield, and then a 4-1 win Tuesday, Oct. 16, at home on the ARHS soccer field.

On Thursday in Brookfield, Chloe Stubbert opened up the scoring, and Hannah Laidlaw netted the game-winning goal.

On Tuesday, Keira Dyck opened up the scoring, and Stubbert netted three more for the hat trick, giving ARHS a 4-1 win over SCA.
