First time’s a charm for Amherst Gliders

AMHERST – Competing at such a high level was something new to the Amherst Gliders Elementary Synchronized Skating Team, but you wouldn’t know it from the results.

The nine-girl team, coached by Laura Ashley Farrow, earned silver in the Elementary category at the 2018 Atlantic Canada Synchronized Skating Championships in Liverpool last weekend.

Team’s from throughout Atlantic Canada competed at the championships, and the Amherst Gliders competed against five other teams in the Elementary category.

The girls are members of the Amherst Skating Club.
