Ellie Hinam, Emily Edwards and Taylor Ronahan scored as the Auburn Drive Eagles beat the C.P. Allen Cheetahs 3-1 in metro high school girls’ hockey league action at Cole Harbour Place on Wednesday. Adrienne Barriault replied for the Cheetahs.
BASKETBALL
Euan Brydie netted 19 points as the Halifax Grammar School Gryphons downed the Sackville Kingfishers 91-30 in boys’ action on Tuesday night.
Ethan Marshall Harris added 18 for the Gryphons while Kyle Munro had 14 and Lydell Husbands 13. Isaia Kelly scored 19 for the Kingfishers.
C.P. Allen 82, Sackville 68: Luca Cameron scored 20 points and Kyle Donnelly had 18 in the Cheetahs' win.
Alp Ozgoren added 16 for CPA and Brevin Hynes (19), Isaiah Kelly (15) and Mark Mombo (11) hit double digits for the Kingfishers.
