AMHERST, N.S. – Gymnasts at the Aerials Gymnastics Club recently competed in their first meet of the 2020 season at the Titans Invitational in Dartmouth.
“The nerves kind of stepped in and got the best of a couple of them but they still did really well,” gymnastics coach Michelle Landry said.
Haley Angus stepped up to a new competitive level this season.
"It’s nice to see her move up and challenge herself,” Landry said. “She got all the new skills she’s been working on and did really well.”
Results are as follows: (Name, level, results)
Haley Angus (Open 7) – 6th on vault, beam, floor, 7th on bars and 6th overall.
Jessica Landry (Open 7) – 7th on vault, beam, floor, 6th on bars, and 7th overall.
Reagan Wilson (Tyro 3) – 7th on vault, bars, 8th on beam, 9th on floor and 8th overall.
Ava Martin (Tyro 3) – 3rd on vault, 6th on bars and floor, 7th on beam, and 6th overall.
Aoife Byrnes (Tyro 3) – 8th on vault and bars, 3rd on beam, 7th on floor, and 7th overall.
Ava MacLeod (Tyro 3) – 9th on vault, bars, beam. 8th on floor. 7th overall.
Julia Dickinson (Tyro 3) – 9th on bars and beam.
Courtney Jury (Argo 3) – 8th on beam.
