Lions dominate Cougars, Tigers in women's hockey action

SPRINGHILL, N.S. – Cross Border Women’s Recreation Hockey League action continued Sunday night with the Once Again Sports Lions roaring past the Wayne ‘Butch’ Auto Sales Cougars by a score of 7-4.

Scoring two goals each for the Lions was Stacey Webb, Casie Skidmore, and Shannon Hanna, with Emily Wainwright adding one goal.

Alyson Pickard scored two for the Cougars, and Dana Carr and Carole Gautreau scored one each.

Taylor Ripley got the win in goal, and Patty Willigar the loss.

On Wednesday, the Lions beat the Archway Insurance Tigers 8-2. Goals scorers unavailable.

The three-team league plays Wednesday’s at 9 p.m., and Sunday at 7 p.m. in Springhill.
