Lions beat Cougars, Tigers in women's hockey action

SPRINGHILL, N.S. – Cross Border Women’s Recreation Hockey League action continued with the Once Again Sports Lions recently beating the Wayne ‘Butch’ Auto Sales Cougars by a score of 3-2, and the Archway Insurance Tigers by a score of 3-2.

Emily Wainwright scored two for the Lions in their win over the Cougars, and Whitney Milner added one goal.

Carole Gautreau and Caitlyn Matchett scored for the Cougars.

Taylor Ripley was the winning goaltender, and guest goaltender Alysha Manderson registered the loss in net for the Tigers

Lions vs. Tigers

Whitney Miler scored two for the Lions in their 3-2 win over the Tigers.

Milner scored two Lions goals and Wainwright one goal.

Danielle Robichaud scored both Tigers goals.

Michelle Anderson was the winning goaltender, and Kat Aube got the loss in net for the Tigers.

The three-team league features Once Again Sports Lions, the Archway Insurance Tigers, and the Wayne ‘Butch’ Auto Sales Cougars.

The league plays Wednesday’s at 9 p.m., and Sunday at 7 p.m. in Springhill.
