The Halifax Hurricanes have signed six-foot-10 centre Schnider Herard for the 2019-20 NBL Canada season.
Herard played NCAA Division 1 hoops for Mississippi State before leaving to pursue a professional career.
The 22-year-old native from Haiti fired 51.3 per cent from the field and averaged 4.23 rebounds in 43 games with Mississippi State. At the 2019 Eurobasket Summer League in Las Vegas he averaged 10 points and 10 rebounds a game.
