AMHERST – The Amherst CIBC Wood Gundy Ramblers lost 4-1 to the South Short Lumberjacks Saturday night at Amherst Stadium.

Will Lafford scored the lone Ramblers goal, making it a 3-1 game with 18 seconds left in the second period.

The Lumberjacks cushioned their lead to 4-1 at 15:04 into the third period.

Joel Goguen played in net for the Ramblers, stopping 31 of the 35 shots he faced.

The Ramblers had 44 shots on Lumberjacks goaltender MacKenzie Janes.

The Ramblers play the second game of a two-game weekend, when they host the Truro Bearcats Sunday at 2 p.m.
