AMHERST, N.S. – In what was their most dominant performance of the 2019-2020 season, the Amherst CIBC Wood Gundy Ramblers shutout the Pictou County Weeks Crushers 6-0 Saturday night at Amherst Stadium.

Robbie Burt led the Ramblers with two goals, and Julien Hebert, Bradley Dawe, Cole Darrach and Brock Bartholomew added one goal each.

Dawe, Caleb Rich, Cole Waugh and Stephen Fox added two assists each, and Hebert, Owen Cole, Mark Richard, and Ryan Penney scored one assist each.

Bartholomew and Burt scored in the first period, Darrach in the second, and Burt, Hebert, and Dawe scored in the third period.

Goaltending

Josh Ward played in net for the Ramblers, stopping all 23 shots he faced. Andrew MacLeod was in net for the Crushers. He faced a total of 45 shots off the Ramblers, stopping 39 of them.

Ramblers vs. Truro

On Friday, the Ramblers were in Truro where they lost 4-3 to the Bearcats.

Waugh, Fox and Max Boudreau score one goal each, with Rich adding two assists, and Boudreau, Burt and Darrach scoring one assist each.

Ward faced a total of 31 shots, while his teammates had 36 shots on Truro goaltender Alec MacDonald.

Standings

The Ramblers sit in fourth place in the Eastlink South Division.

They have 33 points, while the division-leading Yarmouth Mariners have 45 points, and the Weeks Crushers and South Shore Lumberjacks have 37 points each.

Upcoming Games

The Ramblers have three home games in a row. This coming Friday they host the Valley Wildcats, on Saturday they host the Lumberjacks, and then on Friday, Jan. 17 they host the Mariners.
