SPRINGHILL, N.S. – After winning the 2017-2018 Amherst Adult Hockey League title, Maltby Sports has charged out of the gates in the 2018-2019 season, winning four of their first five games.

Maltby Sports vs. J&K Electric

Maltby Sports  beat J&K Electric by a score of 8-3 Nov 1, at the Richard Calder Arena in Springhill, with Jon Tattrie scoring two goals and two assists.

Drew Doiron added two goals, while Brandon McCallum and Chris Sproul scored one goal and three assists each. Chris Maltby scored one goal and two assists, and Craig Harrison added one goal. Andy Bonnell, Gerald Boutlier and Ken Terris added one assist each for Maltby.

Malcolm Estabrooks scored one goal and one assist for J&K, with Chuck Chandler and Rob Scott adding one goal each. Dave Atkinson, Jordan Bennett, Mitchell Henwood, and Tim Ripley added one assist each.

Goaltending

Cody Hunter got the win in goal for Maltby Sports, and Remi Thomas the loss.

League Leaders

After the game Maltby Sports leapt atop the AAHL standings with a record of 4-1, and two Maltby players leapt to the top of the AAHL scoreboard; Tattrie with 20 points, six goals and 14 assists, in six games; and Sproul with 16 points, seven goals and nine assists, in seven games.

Upcoming Games

AAHL action continues Nov. 13, at Amherst Stadium, with Colson Overhead Doors playing J&K Electric.

On Nov. 15, Ultramar plays Maltby Sports in Springhill, and then on Nov. 18, Ultramar plays Colson Overhead Doors at Amherst Stadium.
