J&K Electric ties AAHL series with Maltby Sports

Game 3 is Saturday at 6 p.m.

AMHERST – J&K Electric evened up their best-of-three Amherst Adult Hockey League championship series with a 6-2 win over Maltby Sports Tuesday night at Amherst Stadium.

J&K was up 2-1 after the first two periods but they opened up the scoring gap with four goals in the third to win the game.

Ryan Smith led the J&K, Game 2 surge with two goals and two assists, followed by Kurtis Langille with one goal and three assists, and Andy Bonnell with one goal and two assists.

Chuck Chandler added one goal and one assist for J&K, and Alex Matthews scored one goal. Mark Bennett, Mike Gould and Rob Scott added one assist each.

Chris Sproul led Maltby Sports with one goal and one assist, while Jon Tattrie added and a goal, and Jordie Shaw and assist.

Remi Thomas got the win in goal, and Jarret Munn the loss.

Game 1

Maltby Sports edged J&K 3-2 in Game 1 of the series.

Tattrie scored two goals and one assist in the win, and Corey Robichaud added a goal. Sproul scored two assists, and Mitch Roy one assist.

Smith and Craig Harrison scored for J&K, with Bonnell, Greg Brennan and Langille adding one assist each.

Munn was the winning goaltender, and Thomas got the loss.

Game 3 is Saturday at 6 p.m.

Playoff point leaders are:

Ryan Smith has 12 points, Kurtis Langille 11, Jon Tattrie nine, Chuck Chandler eight, Jordie Shaw seven, Chris Sproul six, Phil Farrow five, and Andy Bonnell, Greg Brennan and Mark Bennett have four points each.
