AMHERST - It’s been more than 50 years since the Amherst St. Pats won the 1957 Maritime Intermediate Hockey Championship and last week the team gathered together to be recognized at the Amherst Athletic Achievers ceremonies at the Amherst Fire Hall.
One of the players who played on the 1957 team was Curry Gould.
The 79-year-old said the ceremony gave the players a chance to catch up with each other.
“It’s been awhile since the hockey team got together, so it was good to see them,” Gould said. “We touched base on what we’re up to these days.”
