Colson continues to lead AAHL standings

AMHERST, N.S. – With the top scorer in the league, Colson Overhead Doors continues to lead the Amherst Adult Hockey League standings.

Ryan Smith leads the league with 31 points, 19 goals and 12 assists, in 10 games, while his team sits atop the league with a record of 7-2-1.

Recent action saw Colson beat Ultramar and Maltby Sports, but lose to J&K Electric.

Colson vs. Ultramar

Smith had two goals and one assist in Colson’s 5-2 win over Ultramar, with Alex Matthews adding two goals, Corey Robichaud scoring one goal, and Geoff Ryan scoring one assist.

Steve Brown and Brian Meyers scored for Ultramar with Dan Anger and Luke McSorely scoring one helper each.

Jarret Munn got the win in goal for Colson.

Colson vs. J&K Electric

Bill Jobes scored the lone Colson goal in their 4-1 loss to J&K Electric, with Smith scoring the assist.

Malcolm Estabrooks scored two goals and one assist for J&K in the win, Chuck Chandler scored one goal and two assists, and Dave Atkinson added one goal.

Also scoring assists was Mitchell Henwood with three, and Mike Gould with one.

Remi Thomas got the win in net, and Munn the loss.

Colson vs. Maltby Sports

Matt Colson and Jonathan De Graaf scored two goals each, to lead Colson to a 5-3 win over Maltby Sports. Smith added one goal and two assists.

Adding one assist each was Jobes, Ryan, Yves Davison and Alex Matthews.

Andy Bonnell, Craig Harrison, and Brandon McCallum scored for Maltby Sports, with Matt Beal adding one assist, and Gerald Boutlier and Chris Sproul adding one assist each.

Scoring Leaders

Ryan Smith leads the league with 31 points, 19 goals and 12 assists in 10 games.

Maltby Sports’ Jon Tattrie is second with 26 points, nine goals and 17 assists, in nine games

Maltby Sports’ Chris Sproul is third with 22 points, eight goals and 14 assists, in eight games.

Maltby Sports’ Brandon McCallum is fourth with 17 points, eight goals and nine assists, in seven games.

Maltby Sports’ Matt Beal is fifth with 15 points, seven goals and eight assists in seven games.

Standings

Colson leads the league, Maltby Sports and J&K Electric are a close second and third, and Ultramar sits at the bottom of the standings.
