AMHERST – Aerials had a great meet at the Taiso Cup in Lower Sackville last weekend says their coach Michelle Landry.
“They all really shined, especially on beam,” said Landry.
It was Emma Sjanic’s second meet competing in the Open 7 Division
“She was able to get one of the scores to qualify towards making Team Nova Scotia if she places well at provincials,” said Landry.
Several members of the team had personal bests at the Taiso Cup.
“They’re working hard,” said Landry.
Aerials also added a new coach this season, Felicia Landry.
“She’s usually here three days a week, so having an extra coach with such a large group is definitely beneficial.”
The team is off to the Chocolate River gymnastics meet in Moncton this weekend, which is hosted by the Beausejour Gymnos Gymnastics Club.
“It’s their second time holding the meet,” said Landry. “I think the girls will do really well.”
