Colts lose two on weekend road trip

SPRINGHILL – The Cumberland/Colchester Colts played two road games over the weekend, losing 8-2 to the Spryfield Attack on Saturday and 11-7 to the Avon River Rats on Sunday.

Ryan Bishop and Kenzee Rushton scored in their 8-2 loss, with Anthony Cormier-Gardner, Connor Campbell, Jeremie Duguay and Jacey LeBlanc scoring one assist each.

Cormier Gardner scored four goals and Campbell three goals in their 11-7 loss. LeBlanc and Dylan Albright scored three assists each, and Chandler MacKinnon had one assist.

Francois Cormier aced 45 shots in goal against the River Rats and 66 shots against the Attack.

His teammates had 29 shots on the River Rats net and 27 shots against the Attack.

The Colts have two more road games this weekend. On Saturday they play the East Hants Penguins and on Sunday they play the Eastern Shore Thunder.
