AMHERST – Burke Beed threw a no-hitter as the Mixers defeated the Y’s Guys 7-0 in Amherst Little League Baseball A system action on Monday.

Beed gave up four walks and struck out 18. Jesse Goodwin suffered the loss, giving up three hits, walking 13 and striking out seven.

Mandel Nickerson, Hayden Crocket and Burke Beed each hit singles for the Mixers.

Kyler Edwards tripled and doubled and Edwards and Austin Dickie shared the pitching win as the Lions defeated the Carter’s Cresting Cubs 11-6 in the other game.

Edwards and Dickie gave up six hits, walked seven and struck out 15 while Jaxon Reynolds and Kieran Sears pitched for the Cubs, giving up eight hits, walking six and striking out six.

Gregor Millard doubled for the Lions while Nolan McNally, Ben Davis and Reece MacDonald each singled once.

Jaxon Reynolds doubled and singled for the Cubs with Kieran Sears adding two singles. Will Allen and Connor Hunter each singled once.
