AMHERST – Amherst Little League action recently saw the Lions beat the Y’s Guys 21-0, and the Casey Concrete Mixers beating the Carter’s Cresting Cubs 9-2.
Lions vs. Y’s Guys
Nolan McNally struck out 15 batters in the Lions win over the Y’s guys, and allowed three walks
Reece MacDonald hit a home run for the Lions and added three singles and one double, scoring five RBI”s.
McNally and Owen Wood hit one triple and one double each, with Wood scoring three RBI’s and McNally one RBI.
Connor Masters scored two RBI’s off one double and two singles, while Ben Davis Kyler Edwards, Nathaniel Noiles and Gregor Millard scored one RBI each. Davis and Edwards hit two singles each, Noiles a double and a single, and Millard one single.,
Ashton Wilcox and Chase Livingston shared duties on the mound for the Y’s Guys.
They combined to give up 19 hits, while striking out five batters and allowing five walks.
Mixers vs. Cubs
Mandel Nickerson pitched for the Mixers in their 6-5 win, striking out 14 batters, and allowing seven walks and two hits.
Nickerson also hit one double and one single for one RBI. Burke Beed hit one triple and a single for one RBI, and Nate Atkinson hit two singles for one RBI. Riley MacDonald and Kobe Reid also hit one single each.
Ryan Wilson pitched for the Cubs, striking out three batters, while giving up eight hits and five walks.
Wilson has one RBI off of one single, and Talan Rose added one single.
