Chitty leads Amherst Vikings to regional championship

AMHERST, N.S. – The Amherst Regional High School Vikings are the 2019 Northumberland region title-holders.

Graden Chitty led the charge by pitching a no-hitter in a game which the Vikings won by a score of 10-0 over the Hants North Flames at Robb’s Centennial Complex in Amherst.

Chitty had 11 strikeouts and only one walk in five innings pitched.

The Vikings host the Division 2 provincial championships Oct. 18 and 19, at Robb’s.
