AMHERST, N.S. – Intermediate baseball returned to Amherst this season after almost a decade-long hiatus.

The Amherst Weston Athletics finished the regular season in fourth place in the seven-team league with a record of 11 wins and 11 losses, for a total of 44 points.

After winning their first two games of the season, the Athletics lost six in a row, then won six games in a row, before winning three of their final eight games of the season.

Pitching

Brady Davis led pitchers during the regular season with three wins and zero losses and an ERA of 1.40, followed by Logan Dowe with a record of 2-1, and an ERA of 1.46.

Their most active pitcher, Adam McAloney, finished with a record of 5-3, and an ERA of 2.15.

Offence

Mats Stone led with the bat. He had a total of 23 hits, followed by Justin Morton with 21 hits, Andrew Skinner with 18, Gus Tupper and Cody Sutton with 17 each, and Nate Stone with 16 hits.

Mats Stone also led with the most RBI’s with 17, followed by Tupper and Davis with 11 each.

Mats Stone, along with Morton and Tupper, led the team with two home runs each, while Cal Hoeg and Cody Sutton hit one home run each.
