ARHS Vikings win Gator Classic

AMHERST – The Amherst Regional High School Vikings won the Gator Classic Basketball Tournament at Central Kings High School in Cambridge on Jan. 13 with an 80-70 win over Simons High from Saint John, N.B.

Aidan Devine scored 20 points for the Vikings while Justin Milner added 18.

Devine also had 18 rebounds and five blocked shots in the championship game.

The Vikings lost the opener 65-60 to Hants North before rebounding with a big 68-40 win over North Nova to earn a spot in the final.

Caleb Van Vulpen earned player of the game honours against North Nova with seven points and five steals.
