BRIDGEWATER, N.S. – There will be a Game 7.
The Amherst CIBC Wood Gundy Ramblers lost 4-3 to the South Shore Lumberjacks Monday night at the Lunenburg County Lifestyle Centre in Bridgewater.
With the series tied 3-3 in the Maritime Hockey League Eastlink South Division semi-final showdown, the series will now move to Amherst Stadium on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
Game 6 Summary:
First Period
The Lumberjacks scored two in the first, taking a 2-0 lead into the second period.
Second Period
Stephen Fox made it a 2-1 game at 3:14 into the second period off passes from Caleb Rich and Nick Snow before the Lumberjacks went up 3-1.
Aidan McFarland then scored at 14:32 into the second period with assists from Stephen Fox and Snow, and the second period ended with the Lumberjacks up 3-2.
Third Period
The Lumberjacks went up 4-2 at 7:25 into the third period, and Matt Green brought the Ramblers within one goal, making it a 4-3 game off passes from Casey Fox and Nick Yuill at 13:30 into the third period.
Goaltending
The Ramblers outshot the Lumberjacks 43 to 30. Matt Williams played in net for the Ramblers and Ty Grant for the Lumberjacks.
Attendance
Game attendance in Bridgewater was 893.
