AMHERST, N.S. – The Aerials Gymnastic Club recently wrapped up their 2019 season at the provincial championships in Dartmouth at the Titans Gymnastics & Trampoline Club.

“I’m really proud of all of them. They did great,” said club coach Michelle Landry.

It was Kirsten Lawrence’s first year competing in the Open 8 Division.

“Kirsten held her own. She’s still working on getting a few more skills but she’ll be able to take the experience she gained this year and do really well next year,” said Lawrence.

First-year gymnasts Olivia Silvia and Sawyer Stiles had very a very productive season.

“Olivia did really well for her first year, and Sawyer, who is eight-years-old, did really good. I’m really proud of both of them.”

The girls will spend the next two months developing skills before the summer break.

Results from the provincials are as follows: (Name, division, placement)

Kirsten Lawrence, Open 8 – 6th on beam

Jessica Landry, Open 7 – 6th on vault and floor, 4th on bars and beam, 5th overall

Emma Sjanic, Open 7 – 5th on vault, beam and floor, 6th on bars and overall

Juliana LeBlanc, Open 6 – 3rd on vault, 5th on bars, 6th on floor and overall

Olivia Silvia, Novice 3 – 1st on vault and beam, 3rd on bars and floor, 2nd overall

Kyra Brennan, Tyro 4 – 3rd on vault

Sawyer Stiles, Argo 3 – 6th on vault and beam.

Ava Martin, Argo 3 – 3rd on vault
