Have you ever seen a Second World War movie of an area that was bombed during an air raid? Well, if you haven’t, you can see something similar now at the Sackville Sports Stadium parking lot.

With nearly 50-plus potholes clearly marked for repair, the area is an obstacle course at best. It’s a disaster to drive it and it’s worse when you walk it. A notice was posted at the stadium last July advising that repairs were forthcoming. Sadly, the notice did not say what year they were talking about. Perhaps they are waiting until the snow arrives and then we will not see the mess until spring. Or perhaps they are waiting for a Christmas repair and declare it a present for the hundreds who use that facility every day. I guess it will get repaired when molasses runs uphill during the next election.
