The other day, I was going on errands with my mom when she said, “Let’s go get a coffee at Tim Hortons.” And so we proceeded to the drive-thru. I remember thinking, “What’s the point of this? Why are so many people lining up for a single cup of coffee or one muffin?” So many cars are waiting, slowly inching along around the building, their engines fully turned on, wasting precious energy. The public innocently pollutes our Earth, all for a cup of coffee! This is just not right.
As a young person, I felt it necessary to speak out for once. Day by day, Planet Earth is dying. Of course, we all know this, but we force the idea out of our minds in fear. Well, now is the time to act. With all these numerous issues killing our habitat, the least we can do is stop drive-thrus. The simple act of parking the car, getting out, walking up to Tim Hortons and getting your coffee can maybe help save the Earth.
