Well I know have been missing news for a while. I try to make little notes so I will remember the things I wanted to say in the paper and then I loose the notes. Darn

The new parking and assorted signs and road paint in the area of Oxford’s post office had me curious. So the parking signs are being erected as I write this (I think) but the painting on the road will have to wait till spring.

I wondered as the other day I parked in front of the church and I kind of shake my head because at present there are plenty of room for two cars in front but when one pulls in and parks in the middle there is no more room. And the part that really amazes me is they stay there to read their mail. Really!! You have to just shake your head. I hope they are as tolerant as they expect others to be.

So, the crosswalk will get a slight shift and the spacing will be clearly defined and no parking signs on the west side of the street.

There was a very serious accident Sunday but I don’t know where or who but the process of Life Flight was interesting. The helicopter landed in the ballfield. There was a fire truck and a support ambulance that arrived slightly before the patient ambulance. Then it all takes longer than on TV for sure. Interesting to watch and I hope they are OK.

Christmas is coming along very fast and I hope everyone is ready. I know I am not but it will arrive anyway and I will cook a bird and we will all get together and have a meal and lots of laughs and family time. After all, that is our most important part.

Going over a friend’s old weather calendars and this has been a mild and wet fall, more so than normal for Oxford. The rivers are all quite high too and that is a bit concerning. I hate to mention it, but the hole is still maintaining about the same level. The sides shift a little over time as they are forming their cone shape but nothing untoward has happened. The report on the highway will not be analyzed and delivered until the new year which I am sure everyone knows.

I don’t know who has been on the new bunny trail but it is a lovely walk. Leave Water Street and head south on the old railbed till you walk over the small wooden bridge and you will see a trail sign to your right. Turn there and follow the trail (which is easy to follow) and you come out just before the new iron bridge.

The Christina Martin concert was amazing. Her and Dale are such great entertainers. I always enjoy them.

December will be a busy month with Ruth Collins and her music students having a concert on Dec. 21 and 22, Andrew Melanson is doing a musical theatre on Dec. 16 and JP Cormier and Dave Gunning will be at the Capitol Theatre on Dec. 19.

The Baptist Church concert is Dec. 13 and 14.

It will soon be coasting weather (I am assuming snow will fall) and I am wondering what everyone uses to go coasting? I had a sled with runners which always broke through the crust and if I was lying on my stomach I somehow always scraped my nose. I was some glad when I got a toboggan for Christmas. I can’t remember if I was seven or eight. Now the dog wanted to sit on front but she never helped pull the sled. I tried to teach her but she resisted learning. Smart dog.
