To the Editor,
Recently, I was in Amherst for a vacation and had to have emergency surgery at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre. The staff in emergency, the OR, Intensive Care and the surgery ward were excellent and worked very well together.
I was there for two weeks. Dr. Kadir performed life saving surgery and demonstrated a great working relationship with all these departments. He is obviously well respected by all the staff as well as his patients.
Cumberland County is fortunate to have such a good facility with such well-trained staff. They are busy and manage the stress well.
The dial and dine meal services is unique and offers patients meal options with quality foods unlike most health care centres across Canada.
It also demonstrates how fortunate we all are as Canadians to have our universal health care system and access to facilities such as this across our wonderful country.
Please support this health care centre of yours. We never know when we may need their help. They will be there to assist you.
