Marilyn Irene Barillas

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Marilyn Irene Barillas age 66 of Amherst announce her passing on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, Upper Nappan, NS. Born in St. Stephen, NB she was a daughter of the late Norman and Irene (McLaughlin) Scott. She was a graduate of St. Mary’s Theology School in Marysville, NB. In recent years Marilyn worked for Charm Jewelers, Amherst retiring in 2015. She will be missed by her special dog Maggie. She will be sadly missed by her husband Gerry of 45 years, one brother Eugene of Toronto, nephew Tony (Sharon) Scott of St. George, NB and several other nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Marilyn was predeceased by one brother Merle. A graveside service will be held in the spring in the Warren Cemetery, date and time to be announced. Memorial donations in her memory may be made to the L.A. Animal Shelter.
