Linda June Landry

Linda June Landry We the family of Linda June Landry age 69 of Amherst are deeply sadden to announce her passing on Friday, December 8, 2017 at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, Upper Nappan. Born in Amherst, she was a daughter of the late Daniel and Eileen (Benjamin) MacKenzie. Linda worked many dry cleaning and laundry jobs in Ontario and Edmonton, even owning her own business in Edmonton. Linda moved back to N.S. and worked for every dry cleaner in Amherst, Nelson’s, 8 years at Frasers Quality Cleaning and 14 years for Home Again Dry Cleaners, where she retired due to illness. Dry cleaning was her life, she loved every moment and every day was a challenge. Linda didn’t have any hobbies, but she did love country music and Dancing. Linda leaves to mourn her 2 daughters Dawn Wright and Diane MacKenzie (Jimmy Smith); 6 grandchildren Kathy, Bailey, Owen, Allison Wright, Acadiana and Sienna Radford. She loved her family which was very large; siblings; Bobby (Joan) MacKenzie, Doris (Lawrence) Shannon, Jimmy (Christine) MacKenzie, Gary (Sara) MacKenzie, Billy MacKenzie, Shirley (Art) Tower, Ruth Ann (Brian) Deegan and Marlene (Dave) O’Blenis. Linda was predeceased by her husband Tommy; brothers Ernest and Sonny; sister Fay (Thorton) Chapman and 2 nephews. Visitation was held on Sunday, December 10, 2017 from 12 – 2 p.m. with the funeral service following at 2 p.m. all held in Campbell’s Funeral Home, 98 Church St. Amherst, 902-667-9906.
