Kenneth Walter "Bob" Spence

It is with sadness we announce the passing of Kenneth Walter "Bob" Spence, age 85, of Amherst, formerly of Springhill. Bob passes away on Saturday, June 23, 2018, surrounded by loving family at Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre. Born in Springhill, N.S., he was a son of the late Joseph and Reta (Penney) Spence. He was an adherent to the United Church and the Church of the Nazarene. He loved to paint, and enjoyed music. He will be sadly missed by his wife the former Emma "Elaine" Nutting; daughter, Sheila Spence of Oshawa; brothers, Donald, Truro, John, Smith Falls, Ontario, Brian, Fenwick, David, Bowmanville, Ontario, Larry, Oshawa; sisters, Betty of Ontario, Beverly (John) Dale, Fenwick, Carol (Robert) Farrell, Springhill, Lois (Charles) Davison and Jocelyn Horton (Al), both of Halfway River; three grandchildren, three great grandchildren. Arrangements have been entrusted to A. H. Brown Funeral Home, 5 McFarlane Street, Springhill, (902 597 2361) No visitation by request. A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
