Johanna Madeline Benjamin

BENJAMIN, Johanna Madeline We are saddened to announce the passing of Johanna Madeline Benjamin, age 86, of Amherst, NS on Friday, August 16, 2019, at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, Amherst. Born in Amherst, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Delma (LeBlanc) White. Johanna was past president of the Highland View Hospital Ladies Auxiliary and past president of IODE. She was the Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star. Johanna will be dearly missed by her husband, William; son, Stephen (Melanie); granddaughter, Shannon; sisters, Connie Wood, Marjorie Powers, and sister-in-law, Carol White. She was predeceased by her grandson, Bryce Benjamin and brother, Roderick White. Visitation will be held on Monday, August 19, 2019, from 7 - 9 p.m., in Campbell's Funeral Home, 98 Church St. Amherst, 902-667-9906. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, August 30, 2019, at 11 a.m., in Holy Family Roman Catholic Church with Father Craig Christensen officiating. Internment will take place in the Amherst Cemetery. Donations can be made in Johanna's memory to the Shriners Children’s Hospital.
