Emerson Parkinson Symes

RIVER HEBERT - It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Emerson Parkinson Symes, 68, of Amherst and formerly of River Hebert, NS on Thursday, May 31, 2018 at Gables Lodge. Born in River Hebert, Emerson was a son of the late John and Edith (Mawdsley) Symes. Emerson was a member of the Masonic King Edward Lodge, #86, River Hebert. He will be sadly missed by his sister, Sandra Dickson, River Hebert; niece, Lynn (John) Pace, Halifax; great nephew and niece, Tyler and Chelsea; nephew Roger Dickson, River Hebert, as well as many close family and friends. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his niece Sharon Anne Dickson. Arrangements are under the care and supervision of Furlong~Jones Funeral Home, Main Street, River Hebert, NS (902-251-2877) where visitation will be held from 6-8 pm on Monday, June 4, 2018. A funeral service will follow on Tuesday at the funeral home at 3 pm. William Drysdale DLM officiating. Burial to follow in the Hillside Cemetery, River Hebert. Family flowers only please.
