Donald Edward Sr. Hubley

Donald Edward Hubley Sr., 73 years of age, of Amherst Shore, passed away suddenly at home on Monday, June 17, 2019. Born in Halifax, he was a son of Hattie Hubley (nee Gordon) & the late Edward Hubley. Don loved the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, 4 wheeling and just being in the woods. He loved his dogs, Bailey & Buddy. He loved playing crib, as long as he was winning. He worked at Poly Cello for 26 1/2 years. Don will be sadly missed by his wife, Carolyn, daughter, Jackie White (Terry) of Whiteside, NS; sons, Donnie (Anna Gilbert ) of Amherst Shore, NS, Richard (Carrie Lowther) of Amherst, NS, step daughter, Becky Cameron (Anthony Harvey) of Port Howe, NS; nine grandchildren, one great grandson; mother, Hattie Hubley of Amherst Shore; sisters, Donna Brown of Tidnish Bridge, Sharon Hagen of Grande Prairie, AB, Jean Davis (Keith) of Port Howe, NS; Frances Johnston of Grande Prairie, AB, brother in law, John Graham of Amherst Shore, NS, former spouse, Pearl Richardson of Amherst, several nieces and nephews. Besides his father, Don was predeceased by, sister Edie Graham, step son, David Cameron. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Jones Family Funeral Centre, 70 Church St., Amherst, NS (902-667-8777). No visitation or funeral service by request. A celebration of Donald's life will be held at the family home, 1483 Chapman Settlement Road, Amherst Shore on Friday, June 21, 2019 from 2 - 5 p.m. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to the Lung Association, The Heart & Stroke Foundation or the V.O.N.
