Cedric L Spence Jr

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Cedric L. Spence Sr., 87 years of Springhill on Friday, March 9, 2018 in High Crest Nursing Home, Springhill. Born in Springhill, he was a son of the late Joseph and Roxanna (Rector) Spence. A very hard working man, Cedric was a coal miner in Springhill.  After the mines closed, he worked for Wally Dow out of River Hebert..  He always looked forward to time with friends at the card parties. He is survived by his son Cedric (Dawn) Spence Jr., Tweed, ON; grandson, Dakota (Cara Wood) Spence, Oxford. Predeceased by his wife the former Eleanor V. Stewart; sons Vernon and Roy; daughters Catherine and Evelyn; brothers Harold Spence and Wilfred Rector. Arrangements are under the care and direction of A H Brown Funeral Home, 5 McFarlane Street, Springhill, (902 597 2361) where visiting hours will take place on Monday, from 6 to 8 pm.  Cedric's funeral service will be held at A H Brown Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at 11 am, Life Celebrant Scott Balser officiating.
