Halifax businessman pleads guilty to sexually assaulting teenage girl


HALIFAX - A Halifax businessman will be sentenced in July for sexually assaulting a teenage girl. Robert Joseph Munden, 46, was supposed to stand trial Monday in provincial court but pleaded guilty instead. The offence occurred April 20, 2008. The facts of the crime, as agreed to by the Crown and the defence, will be read into the record at the July 16 sentencing hearing. Munden, a married father of three, owns Munden's Moving Ltd. in Halifax and was a local junior hockey star in the early 1980s.
