A Halifax man faces three charges of intimidating a participant in the justice system.

The alleged incidents happened in 2016 and 2019, the RCMP said in a release.

Wayne Joseph Misener, 45, has been accused of having an interaction with a uniformed peace officer who was in the course of performing police duties on Nov. 18 and Dec. 29 of 2016.

A different peace officer entered a business on St. Margarets Bay Road in Hubbards on Sunday. Misener is accused of approaching the officer and making concerning statements about that officer as well as the officer involved in the 2016 interactions.

As a result of these alleged statements, Misener was arrested without incident at a business on St. Margarets Bay Road on Wednesday afternoon.

Misener was to appear in Halifax provincial court Thursday.

The investigation is being led by the general investigation section of the RCMP-Halifax Regional Police integrated criminal investigation division.
