SPRINGHILL, N.S. – Packages containing contraband items with an institutional value of $22,300 were seized at the Springhill Institution on Oct. 8.

The contraband and unauthorized items seized included 71.7 grams of tobacco, 56.69 grams of marijuana and 15 grams of MDMA (Molly).

Police were notified and the institution is investigating.
