AMHERST - Water will be turned off Monday night on South Albion Street between the Kentucky Fried Chicken outlet and the Robert Angus Drive intersection so Amherst work crews can repair a water main break.
Repair work will begin this evening. The water will be turned off at 10 p.m., and it could take until 5 a.m. Tuesday to complete the work.
The shutdown is necessary to complete the repair and every measure is being taken to complete the work as quickly as possible.
Those whose water is turned off should run a cold water tap for about 15 minutes in order to eliminate impurities once service is restored.
Motorists in the area are asked to drive with caution.
