SPRINGHILL, N.S. – The 2nd Springhill Scouts start a new scouting year at the beginning of September.

The 2nd Springhill Scouts is open to kids 5 to 14-years-old.

Kids who are interested in finding out what the Scouts Canada program is all about can attend the program for two weeks at no charge.

Many youths are returning and, last year, three members of the 2nd Springhill Scouts received prestigious awards.

Breanna Bradley receiving the Chiefs Scout’s Award, the highest award which can be achieved at the scout level in Scouts Canada, Camden Rector received the Seeonee Award, which is the highest honour which can be bestowed upon a Cub Pack scout, and Brookelynn Porter-Welton received the North Star Award, which is the highest personal achievement for a Beaver Scout in the Scouts Canada program.
