A 50-year-old Collingwood man is facing drug and firearms charges following the raid on the Wyvern Road in Collingwood.
The Cumberland County Street Crime Enforcement Unit, with assistance from Cumberland District RCMP and Amherst Police Department, executed a search warrant at two properties on the Wyvern Road, netting a quantity of cocaine, cannabis marihuana, cannabis resin, cash and drug paraphernalia. Two firearms were also seized during the search.
As a result, the 50-year-old man is now facing charges or possessing cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking, possession of cannabis resin, unsafe storage of firearms and unauthorized possession of firearms.
He was released from custody and will appear in Amherst Provincial Court on Dec. 18, at 9:30 a.m.
RCMP say the investigation is ongoing.
