Les and Katherine Marlin organize a draw for a gift box in support of CFTA 107.9.

The not-for-profit began airing in 2007 and has been crucial in the promotion of many local events, programs and businesses in the region. Like many not-for-profits, they have been struggling financially recently.

When Marlins’ Midgic Market owners, Les and Katherine Marlin, heard of the difficulties the radio station is having, they decided to help.

“Since we opened in 2012,  we have advertised on CFTA 107.9 to promote our events and sales. They’ve been a vital link to the community for us  and have helped us grow our business so we wanted to give back,” said Les.

Marlins’ Midgic Market is selling tickets to win a huge gift box of merchandise from their store.

“It’s worth about $500 and is filled with assorted household linens, sheets, towels, bathroom accessories, oven mitts, area rug, stained glass, and more.

The prize also comes with a door swag and Christmas table arrangement.

Tickets are $5 each or three for $10 and are available at Marlin’s Midgic Market, 176 Brooklyn Rd., Midgic, NB.

The draw date is Friday, Dec. 2.

For more information about the fundraiser contact the Marlins at (506) 536-4628.
