How to keep kids busy on Christmas Eve

AMHERST, N.S. – Kids can get wound up waiting for Santa Claus on Christmas Eve.

The teachers at Amherst Preschool said there are many ways to keep kids occupied during this magical time of the year.

Amherst Preschool director, Estella Perry, and support teacher Melissa Cormier gave the following five suggestions:

1. Take them out for a drive or a walk to look at Christmas lights on the homes.

2. Arts and crafts.

3. Bake some treats or snacks.

4. Colouring books with lots of crayons and markers.

5. Play board games.
