AMHERST – There are several emergency room closures at Cumberland Countys three collaborative emergency centres in the coming week.

In Springhill, the ER at the All Saints CEC will be closed from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Christmas Day and from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 29; Tuesday, Jan. 2 and Thursday, Jan. 4.

The ER at the North Cumberland Memorial CEC in Pugwash will be closed from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 28 and Thursday, Jan. 4, while the ER will be closed at the South Cumberland CEC in Parrsboro will be closed Christmas Eve, Sunday, from 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.; on Tuesday, Dec. 26 from 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. and on Wednesday, Dec. 27 from 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.

These closures are because there is no physician available to provide the necessary medical coverage.
