AMHERST, N.S. – The Cumberland County Singers, which is made up of 60 kids in Grades 3 to 6, will reach out through the arts tonight at the First Baptist Church in Amherst.
Creative Voices, Reaching Out Through the Arts will feature The Cumberland County Singers and the Halifax Girl’s Honour Choir, which is made up of 50 girl singers.
The event will also feature author Sheree Fitch, who has written dozens of books for children and young adults, including Singily Skipping Along.
Singily Skipping Along is illustrated by Amherst’s Deanne Fitzpatrick, who will also be featured at the event.
The end of the show will feature both choirs singing on stage at the same time.
Creative Voices, Reaching Out Through the Arts, begins at 7 p.m., at the First Baptist Church on Victoria Street, and runs for about one hour.
Admission is a freewill offering.
