PUGWASH, N.S. – The Class of 2019 graduated from Pugwash District High School on June 27.

Students receiving awards included the following:

GOVERNOR GENERAL’S MEDAL – Kailey Rushton

Awarded to the grade 12 student who has obtained the highest standing in Grades 11 and 12.

QUEEN ELIZABETH II MEDAL – Maria Duynisveld

Awarded to a grade 12 student who has fulfilled the requirements for a Nova Scotia High School Completion Certificate, having demonstrated superior academic achievement in Grades 10, 11, and 12, and maintained an outstanding record in school and community involvement.

CERTIFICATES FOR HONOURS and HONOURS WITH DISTINCTION

PDHS HONOURS WITH DISTINCTION

The certificate is granted if the student has achieved an average of 90 per cent in six subjects, one of which must be English, with no mark lower than 80 per cent.
