AMHERST, N.S. – As of Nov. 7, a year has come and gone since Roy Pettigrew took over as manager of the Bordertown Jam.
Pettigrew said it has been a fun year and 106 different musicians have blessed the stage at Heartz Hall at Trinity-St. Stephen’s United Church.
The show begins each Wednesday at 7 p.m. and ends at 10 p.m.
The Jam has provided entertainment to a great group of friends every night. LeRoy and the boys along now with a girl on piano provide backup for the singers and musicians.
“We have a great family of volunteers that help make the Jam a success. We made contributions to many worthwhile causes, as well as helping the Highland fling with a music night that raised nearly $4,000 and are looking forward to doing the same in year two,” Pettigrew said.
On Nov. 7, the group plans to help many more worthwhile causes, as well as cut a giant cake to mark the first year.
Tea, coffee, and snacks will also be open to everyone in attendance. Come out and join the Jam and have a great evening of fun and music.
Admission is only $3.
