COLLINGWOOD - On May 24 at 6:42 p.m., members of Cumberland District RCMP in Oxford responded to a call of an unresponsive man who was in the water near a boat in Poison Lake.
The lake is located near Wyvern Road. Witnesses reported seeing the man in his boat shortly before the 911 call was received. He was not wearing a life jacket at the time he was found.
The deceased is a 78-year-old man from Springhill.
Cumberland District RCMP, and members of the Northeast Nova Major Crimes Unit will be working with the Nova Scotia Medical Examiner's Service as this investigation progresses. Foul play is not suspected.
