AMHERST - The Town of Amherst Community and Economic Development Department is pleased to announce that a Community Fair will be held on Saturday, May 24, at the Amherst Stadium from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and is seeking interest from service clubs, organizations, groups and sports teams.
The aim of the Community Fair is to bring together community service clubs and organizations within Amherst, so the general public can learn about these groups and their mandates, and for the organizations to gain exposure, recruit volunteers, and also fundraise.
There are no fees or charges involved in this event; this fair is to help local organizations to increase their community profile, facilitate networking and socialization among community groups, and showcase community work and projects.
