Speight sentenced to federal custody
Glynn Cyril Speight, 55, of East Amherst, was handed a 24-month federal custody sentence after pleading guilty to impaired operation of a motor vehicle causing bodily harm on Jan. 28, 2017, in Port Howe; refusing the breathalyzer on Aug. 4, 2017, in Malden, N.B.; and evading police on Aug. 4, 2017, in Malden, N.B.
Davison fined $100
Chelsea Constance Davison, 23, of Springhill, was handed 12-months probation and fined $100 after pleading guilty to assaulting a peace officer.
The incident occurred July 23, 2017, in Springhill.
Dowe pleads guilty
Michael Gordon Dowe, 37, of Amherst, was fined $390 after pleading guilty to possessing methamphetamine on Sept. 29, 2017; fined $310 for failing to attend court on April 10, 2018; and fiend a further $13 for possession of methamphetamine on June 3, 2018.
The incidents occurred Sept. 29, 2017, in Amherst.
Hawco received suspended sentence
Patrick Thomas Hawco, 62, of no fixed address, was given a suspended sentence and 12 months probation, after pleading guilty to theft under $5,000.
The incident occurred July 30, 2016, in Parrsboro.
Spencer sentencing in July
William Adam Spencer, 18, of Amherst, will return to court July 16, for sentencing after pleading guilty to stealing gasoline, breaching a recognizance to keep the peace, and breaching a recognizance to abstain from alcohol and intoxicating substances.
The incidents occurred Feb. 25, 2018, in Pugwash.
