AMHERST, N.S. – Two people recently pleaded guilty to charges in provincial court in Amherst.
O’Blenis sentenced for failing breathalyzer
Justin Lee O’Blenis, 42, of Smith Street, Amherst, was sentenced in court on Jan. 29 to a suspended sentence, 24-months probation, and a three-year driving prohibition after pleading guilty to having consumed alcohol in such a quantity that the concentration of alcohol in his blood exceeded .08 per cent while he operated a motor vehicle.
The incident occurred March 30, 2018 in Amherst.
Trenholm sentenced for trafficking methamphetamine, oxycodone
Jamie Ross Trenholm, 32, of Tyndal Road, was sentenced in court on Jan. 30 to a 279-day sentence, concurrent with each other, after pleading guilty to the possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking and to the possession of oxycodone for the purpose of trafficking.
The incidents occurred Feb. 22, in Tyndal Road.
He was also sentenced to 278 days custody, concurrent with other sentences, after pleading guilty to the possession of cannabis.

Trenholm was also sentenced to 278 days custody, concurrent with other sentences, after pleading guilty to the possession oxycodone.
The incident occurred Feb. 9 in Amherst.
He was also sentenced to 30 days custody, concurrent with other sentences, after pleading guilty to one charge of breach of a curfew and one charge of breach of an order not to possess drugs.
The incidents occurred Feb. 22 in Tyndal Road.
